Eagles Win A Nail-Biter Against Buffalo

The Philadelphia Eagles went to Buffalo and stole a win versus the Bills on Sunday.

With a final score of 13-12, the birds once again showed that their defense is elite, but their offense continues to struggle.

The offense NEEDS to be better, as soon as possible. With a playoff run looming, Philly cannot have scoreless halves against any opponent.

In the first half, things were clicking. Jalen Hurts was 7 of 8 with 63 yards and a touchdown before halftime. In the second half, he failed to complete a pass.

It did not help that DeVonta Smith had a huge drop, but zero completions are inexcusable. Philly logged a pathetic 16 yards of total offense in the second half. The defense cannot be on the field for the majority of the game.

Kevin Patullo is still showing that he isn’t the right guy for the offensive coordinator position. There is just too much inconsistency in the play-calling, and it must be cleaned up for the postseason.

However, defense wins championships. The tenacious Eagles’ defense has shown all year that it is capable of stopping anyone.

The reigning MVP, Josh Allen, was sacked five times and stopped on a potential game-winning two-point conversion.

Allen also had a huge fumble early on, which ultimately set the tone.

The Eagles have a chance to clinch the No. 2 seed with a win over the Commanders next Sunday and a Bears loss to the Lions.

This is the best-case scenario because they would face the Packers in the Wild Card round.

If not, they can potentially face the 49ers, Seahawks, or Rams. An inconsistent offense cannot be on the field versus teams like them.
