The Bears Look to Extend Win Streak against the Giants and  Rookie Sensation Jaxson Dart

After an insane Week 9 game, the Bears landed at 5-3 in a nail-biter against the Cincinnati Bengals that ended 47-42. It came down to the final 20 seconds of the game, where Caleb Williams connected to Colston Loveland for a 57-yard touchdown that put the Bears ahead. Both rookie Loveland and 7th-rounder Rutgers alumni Kyle Monangai had fantastic games. Monangai had 176 rushing yards, 198 total yards, and 6.8 YPC. This all culminated in 585 yards of offense, which they hope to carry into Week 10.

On the other side of the ball, you have the New York Giants team, who just lost to the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants could not stop Christian McCaffrey, allowing him to total 173 yards of offense and two touchdowns. Despite having a spectacular cast of guys on the defensive line, the Giants are allowing an average of 150 yards on the ground, something for the Bears to look for in their upcoming affair.

Keys to the Game

1. The Bears NEED to Establish the Run Game:

Chicago has been fantastic on the ground as of late. They rank second in the league, only behind Buffalo with 144.38 yards on the ground. The Bears are currently utilizing both Kyle Monangai (5.3 YPC) and D’Andre Swift (4.6 YPC). Like I mentioned earlier, the Giants are one of the worst teams against the run. To establish the pass game, they need to open up those run lanes to get the defense to jump.

2. The Bears Must Stop Jaxson Dart’s Dual Threat Game:

Jaxson Dart had over 240+ yards on the ground and in the air in Week 9 against the 49ers. If he’s not running, he’s passing the ball pretty consistently. This is happening without his top receiver, Malik Nabers, and his rookie running back, Cam Skattabo, both out with injuries. Newly acquired Joe Tyron-Shoyinka is set to start, and this whole defensive line is set to keep Dart in the pocket and limit his ability to scramble out of the pocket.
