Week 11 Chicago Bears Game Preview: The Chicago Bears look to Get Revenge against the Minnesota Vikings
After two games in which the Chicago Bears have won in the final moments of the 4th quarter, they look to avenge their Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
They take on the Minnesota Vikings, who are now at the bottom of the division, sitting at 4-5. Granted, they’ve gone through a bumpy couple of weeks with Carson Wentz at the helm and J.J. McCarthy coming back from injury.
The Bears, on the other hand, have been rolling lately. Ever since a discouraging loss to the Ravens, the Bears have had two clutch wins over the Giants and the Bengals.
Standout on Defense
One player who really showed up in Week 10 against the Giants was C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who had a career day, recording nine tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble. I talked about him more in an article I wrote when he was acquired, but this is a huge step for this defense that has lost many of its key players. He needs to be another standout player this week against JJ McCarthy, who struggled last week and has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 3:3.
Offensive Attack
Since the lackluster performance in Baltimore, the Chicago Bears’ offense has combined for 978 yards in 2 games. Caleb Williams accounted for 500 air yards in both games. The Vikings’ defensive line will be tough to beat with Jonathan Allen, Jonathan Greenard, Dallas Turner, and Javon Hargrave manning the front end for this defense.
But so far, Williams has thrived at escaping the pocket, where in 2024 he had a 28.2 pressure-to-sack rate that has now improved to 13.7% in 2025. He needs to keep this consistent to survive and not be steamrolled by the defense.
