Week 2 Disaster: Another Loss For The Panthers Causes Panic in the Carolinas

It’s the second week of the NFL, and the Panthers are experiencing the same issues. Going up against the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina had an opportunity to get their first win of the season before next week’s home opener. However, the Cardinals started this game hot and didn’t cool off, defeating the Panthers 27-22.

Although the Panthers had created a spark down the stretch, their chances of winning the game were slim to none with 2:00 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Similar start of the game for Carolina as they couldn't find any consistent offense

Even with a 328-yard passing game with 3 TDs, conversations are starting to rumble about Bryce Young. Can Bryce Young be the quarterback Carolina needs him to be moving forward? This is the biggest question at the moment.

Though he is still a young quarterback, this is Bryce’s third year in the league, and he has to be in the hot seat after Sunday’s game. The Panthers benched Young after the second game of last season. Will history repeat itself again this season at the quarterback position?

Once more, Tetairoa McMillian was able to shine in the tough loss. He managed to gain 100 passing yards with only six receptions on ten targets. His level of consistency during his first two weeks of the season shows how ready he is for the big moments and is the biggest positive heading towards next week. As well as recently signed Hunter Renfrow, who played very well and was able to haul in two touchdown passes to continue the push for a possible comeback.

The panic level is clearly high for the fans and even the Panthers organization after a 0-2 start. It’s only a matter of time before a tough decision may take place for GM Dan Morgan if things do not change in the coming days.
