Tampa Bay Buccaneers Return to Preseason With an Injury: Rachaad White
Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ running back Rachaad White stands still, looking off into the field as his leg is wrapped up. White was seen limping off the field, falling to the ground, and pointing to his groin. The backup RB has suffered a cramp near his groin and has been ruled out for Tampa Bay’s first pre-season game after a 12-yard run.
Not much is currently known about the state and severity of the injury. Head coach Todd Bowles may be tempted to keep Rachaad White off the field for the rest of pre-season, which could call into question the decision to keep leading running back Bucky Irving off the field for pre-season. Irving was not set to start tonight's return to the field and has continued to be held on the sidelines post-White's injury. Instead, Sean Tucker has entered the field and carried the torch.
Even with the setback, the Buccaneers have scored an additional touchdown after their previous field goal to start the second quarter with a score of 10-0 against the Tennessee Titans. Tucker successfully gained two yards for this touchdown. Despite the early injury concern, the Buccaneers are expected to maintain their offensive momentum and continue to control the game against Tennessee in their return to preseason action.
