The Seattle Seahawks Have Officially Started Their Redemption Run
The Seattle Seahawks are coming into the season hot, having won Weeks 2 and 3 with a 2-1 record, making up for their sluggish start in Week 1. With a tough loss against the 49ers, they’ve made their comeback in the season. Previously, they finished with a 10-7 record in the 2024 season, and fans are optimistic that they’ll be able to do just as well, if not better, against some brutal competition in the NFC West.
Last year, the Seattle Seahawks did not have a chance at a playoff run, which left fans and players frustrated, given that they had spent so much of the year in contention. That near taste of the playoffs gave them laser-sharp focus heading into the 2025 season, and so far, they’ve stormed in with determination and drive.
Three seasons into the game, their offense has averaged 29.3 points per game. Quarterback Sam Darnold is a natural leader and distributes the ball smartly. The running game has provided steady production week after week, keeping defenses guessing. Once the Seahawks absolutely crushed the Saints in last week’s game, their message of determination and drive became widely known. They didn’t come to mess around.
Defensively, the Seahawks are averaging only around 15.7 points per game, which ranks 5th best in the league. A deep rotation on the defensive line and major improvements in play from the secondary have helped create turnovers and keep big plays limited. That, mixed in with a 0.667-win percentage from the past three games, and we’re already seeing improvement from a 0.588-win percentage last season.
Moving forward, what the Seahawks need to focus on is consistency, especially as the opponents toughen. The rest of the season will stand as a test to see how far this team has truly come. Tonight, they play the Arizona Cardinals, who are also 2-1. The Seahawks are1.5-point favorites to win, and the over/under total points scored is 43.5. We can expect a close game against them, but ultimately, the Seahawks should be able to pull through.
