Packers vs. Cardinals: Jordan Love Leads Green Bay Into the Desert

The Green Bay Packers (3-1-1) are winning, but they’re certainly not comfortable. Despite being favored in every game this season, the Packers have consistently built double-digit leads early on, but then struggled to finish strong. They’re now headed out west to face the Arizona Cardinals (2-4) at State Farm Stadium on Sunday, where they hope to turn early momentum into a dominant finish, finally.

The Cardinals are currently dealing with several injuries to key players, including quarterback Kyler Murray, who missed last Sunday’s game against the Colts with a foot injury, and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who remains in concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in Indianapolis. Both remain questionable for Sunday’s matchup. Meanwhile, the Packers are relatively healthy and feeling confident after a home win over Cincinnati last week.

Micah Parsons under a Microscope

While the Packers are getting ready to head to Arizona, defensive lineman Micah Parsons continues to draw league-wide attention, not only for his dominance in the game, but also for how often he’s being called without a flag being thrown. Head coach Matt LaFleur called some of the missed penalties “egregious,” saying they’ve limited Parsons’ ability to finish plays.

Controversy aside, there is no doubt that Parsons has been a total game-changer so far. His speed and power have forced opposing teams to adjust their entire blocking plans, often sending double teams after him. His presence alone forces quicker throws and keeps quarterbacks feeling uncomfortable.

Keys to a Packers Victory

1.) Keep Attacking Upfront

The Cardinals’ offensive line has struggled to keep quarterbacks clean this season, and if Kyler Murray isn’t at full strength, the pressure could be a significant problem. Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary have the speed and the power to take over the game completely. The more they get after the quarterback, the easier it will be for the defense to control the game.

2.) Maintain Offensive Balance

Last week’s performance showed how good this offense could be when Josh Jacobs runs hard and Jordan Love spreads the ball around. Staying balanced helps to keep the offense unpredictable.

3.) Finish Strong.

The Packers have taken leads in every game so far, but now it's about finishing. Staying aggressive and focused late in the game will help turn close wins into dominant ones. This one should not be close if they can stay locked in from kickoff to the final whistle.

Prediction

The Packers will finally put together a solid full-game performance, with Josh Jacobs scoring twice and Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary helping the defense dominate up front, leading to a statement win.

Final Score: Packers 30, Cardinals 16

Green Bay improves to 4-1-1, solidifying its place among the NFC’s elite.
