2025 NFL Week 5 Power Rankings

Week 4 was absolute chaos. The Giants shocked the Chargers, the Chiefs handled the Ravens, and the Eagles and Bills kept cruising up top.

Sunday night was a wild one: Packers and Cowboys tied 40–40, Micah Parsons was everywhere, and Dak piled up yards.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (0)
Philly stayed unbeaten with a 31-25 win in Tampa, leaning on Hurts’ poise and defensive grit. They haven’t even played their best football yet, but they continue to find ways.

2. Buffalo Bills (0)
The Bills outlasted the Saints 31-19, pulling away late with Josh Allen’s arm. They remain the AFC’s most complete team.

3. Detroit Lions (+2)
A 34-10 demolition of Cleveland highlighted Detroit’s trench dominance. The Lions look like a real NFC heavyweight.

4. Los Angeles Chargers (-1)
The 21-18 home loss to the Giants was a wake-up call. Herbert remains elite, but protection and turnovers remain red flags.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0)
Even in a 31-25 loss to Philly, Baker Mayfield battled to keep Tampa in it. At 3-1, the Bucs remain in the NFC conversation.

6. Kansas City Chiefs (+5)
Mahomes and the defense handled Baltimore 27-20, reminding everyone KC’s floor is still higher than most teams’ ceiling. The offense isn’t fully humming yet, but they’re getting there.

7. Los Angeles Rams (+2)
Puka Nacua’s OT touchdown beat the Colts and showed the Rams’ resilience. Sean McVay’s squad looks steady and confident.

8. Baltimore Ravens (-1)
Falling to Kansas City exposed the same issues: shaky line play and untimely turnovers. Lamar can only carry them so far.

9. San Francisco 49ers (-1)
They beat Jacksonville, but Brock Purdy’s injury clouds everything. The defense remains stout, but QB health looms over their season.

10. Green Bay Packers (0)
Micah Parsons dominated in the 40-40 tie with Dallas, proving how valuable he is to this roster. Jordan Love flashed, but defensive leaks remained.

11. Indianapolis Colts (-5)
Daniel Jones is steering the ship, but the OT loss to the Rams (two picks) stung. Steichen’s structure still gives them a high weekly floor, even while they get healthy.

12. Denver Broncos (+4)
They blasted Cincinnati and looked the part on defense. Now it’s about stacking performances instead of popping every other week.

13. Seattle Seahawks (0)
Seattle moved to 3–1 with a 23–20 win over Arizona, powered by Kenneth Walker’s steady ground game and timely defense. They’re not flashy, but they’re stacking wins.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers (0)
Another tight win with the defense doing the heavy lifting. Rodgers didn’t force it, which is exactly what Tomlin needs to be successful.

15. Washington Commanders (−3)
Mariota filled in admirably for Jayden Daniels, but the defense leaked big plays. Getting the Daniels back healthy is the path to real NFC staying power.

16. Chicago Bears (+1)
Caleb Williams’ command showed up in the win over the Raiders. If the defense levels up even a bit, Chicago becomes genuinely pesky.

17. Dallas Cowboys (+8)
No CeeDee, no problem for the offense, Dak leads the league in passing, and Pickens/Ferguson stepped up. The task now: get the defense some help.

18. Atlanta Falcons (+5)
Michael Penix Jr. answered with a breakout, attacking downfield and punishing mistakes. If this version sticks, Atlanta’s a wild-card headache.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars (−1)
They were out-muscled by San Francisco. Lawrence kept them afloat, but execution faltered in the key moments.

20. New England Patriots (+2)
The Patriots crushed Carolina 42–13, with Drake Maye showing growth and Vrabel’s defense swarming. It’s still a rebuild, but the progress is undeniable.

21. Minnesota Vikings (-6)
The Vikings are 2–2 after battling Pittsburgh in a narrow loss. Jefferson is carrying the offense while Wentz fills in for the injured JJ McCarthy, trying to stay competitive in the NFC North.

22. New York Giants (+7)
The Giants stunned the Chargers 21–18, with Jaxson Dart getting his first career win and the defense delivering takeaways. That kind of win bumps them out of the cellar talk.

23. Arizona Cardinals (-4)
Arizona fought hard in a 23–20 loss to Seattle. Kyler is doing his part, but they don’t finish drives.

24. Houston Texans (+2)
C.J. Stroud looked sharp again in a 26–0 win over Tennessee. Houston suddenly feels like a dangerous spoiler.

25. Las Vegas Raiders (-1)
A 27–13 loss to Chicago showed how little juice this offense has. Antonio Pierce’s group has no clear identity.

26. Carolina Panthers (-5)
Crushed 42–13 by New England, Carolina is still searching for answers. Bryce Young is under siege every week.

27. Cleveland Browns (-7)
Detroit exposed their offensive limitations, and QB inconsistency continues to plague them. The defense is strong, but it can’t carry the load alone every week.

28. Cincinnati Bengals (0)
Another blowout loss without Burrow, this time to Denver, leaves them reeling. Their season hinges entirely on his return.

29. Miami Dolphins (+2)
Yes, they beat the Jets. But who doesn’t beat the Jets? With a shaky defense and no identity, the Dolphins’ season already feels sunk.

30. Tennessee Titans (0)
Blanked 26–0 by Houston, Tennessee is winless and directionless. Cam Ward has no support, and it shows.

31. New York Jets (-4)
The 27–21 loss to Miami was followed by Breece Hall and Aaron Glenn’s pointed comments. Turmoil defines them more than progress.

32. New Orleans Saints (0)
If this were hockey, three good periods might’ve been enough — but the Saints folded in the fourth in a 31–19 loss to Buffalo. They remain winless at the bottom.
