2025 NFL Week 10 Power Rankings

Two teams leave Week 9 on 6-game win streaks: the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. Which of these will fall first? There are massive shakeups in the Top 5, including the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions, all of which dropped after losses. Watch out for the surging Seattle Seahawks, though! Where does your team stack up?

Contenders Until They’re Not

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) - Though on a bye, the Bucs move to the top spot simply because everyone above them lost to underdogs—addition by subtraction or something.

2. Indianapolis Colts (-1) - Last week, I said, “Until someone knocks them down a peg, they are the best team in the NFL.” Week 9 showed that nobody is a true juggernaut in 2025, as the Colts suffered their first loss since Week 4 at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

3. Denver Broncos (+2) - A Week 9 defensive slugfest may have gone differently if CJ Stroud played the entire game, but with him at the helm, the Houston offense only managed 3 points with Stroud in. Ugly as it was, it was a win against the best defense in football. In back-to-back weeks, the Broncos have defeated the #1 offense and the #1 defense. They are a threat.

4. New England Patriots (+2) - I’m a firm believer in Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel, especially after the routing they laid on the Cleveland Browns’ defense. New England is on a 5-game winning streak. This team is a playoff lock in my eyes and a real threat to the Buffalo Bills.

5. Buffalo Bills (+2) - The Bills Cook’d (see what I did there? 125 total yards for James Cook) the Chiefs and held Patrick Mahomes without a touchdown. I said on the Fan Feed Pod last Thursday that I was taking the Bills over the Chiefs because they were at home. If it were in KC, who knows?

6. Seattle Seahawks (+5) - “Week 11 against the Rams is going to be absolute cinema.” That’s what I said last week. This team is for real, and their defense is giving me Legion of Boom flashbacks. They are physical and crushing their opponents. The NFC should be on watch.

7. Detroit Lions (-4) - Week 9 was not the way Detroit wanted things to go. The Lions are now 1-2 in the division, with their sole win coming against the Bears in Week 2. The Vikings are only a 1/2 game behind Detroit after the victory. This isn’t the time for panic, but some things need to change.

8. Green Bay Packers (-6) - A loss hurts. A loss at home is brutal. A loss to the now 5-4 Carolina Panthers is almost embarrassing. Jordan Love had zero touchdowns, and the offense put up a measly 13 points against a defense that has allowed 22.8 points per game.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (-1) - Another team on a bye, but they drop simply because Seattle looks unreal.

10. Los Angeles Rams (-1) - The Rams also drop a spot because of the surging Seahawks with Sam Darnold. The Rams beat up on a bad Saints team with a rookie QB in Tyler Shough. A good team beats a bad team, and that’s what was expected.

Hopefuls

11. Pittsburgh Steelers (+3) - The Steelers hosted the Indianapolis Colts, but let Indy know that they were unwelcome, both in Pittsburgh and in the AFC race. They have a hold on the AFC North crown for now, but Baltimore is lurking.

12. San Francisco 49ers (-1) - Similar to the Rams, the 49ers beat up on arguably the second-most-injured team in the NFC (behind the 49ers themselves). Future matchups with Jaxson Dart vs Kyle Shanahan’s squad are going to be primetime worthy.

13. Los Angeles Chargers (-) - Tennessee hung around for too long after Justin Herbert’s pick-6 early in the game. They won, but it wasn’t without worry.

14. Kansas City Chiefs (-4) - I mentioned last week that KC is back, but this week, something looked off. Mahomes couldn’t connect on a single touchdown the entire game. They need a guy at RB to scare anyone in the league in 2025, but they’re still the Chiefs with a top-5 defense. Is Breece Hall available before the trade deadline today?...

15. Minnesota Vikings (+4) - The Vikings upset the Detroit Lions in a textbook manner, in J.J. McCarthy’s return. If they can keep up this momentum, Green Bay and Detroit should be very worried down the stretch.

It’s Complicated

16. Chicago Bears (+1) - How did the Bears score 47 points, while Rome Odunze had zero yards? Regardless, Ben Johnson was in his bag and pulled out all the tricks. The Bears are a sneaky good team, and the second half of this season is theirs for the taking.

17. Carolina Panthers (+3) - Taking down the #2 team from last week’s power ranking was a massive win for Carolina. They shut down Jordan Love and made him look like Bryce Young on a bad day. The Panthers are looking feisty at the midpoint of the season.

18. Houston Texans (-3) - Losing CJ Stroud hampered Houston’s ability to pull this one out, that’s for sure. Scoring zero touchdowns against a streaking AFC team is a hard pill to swallow, regardless of how great this defense is. Prayers up for Stroud, and that he returns quickly. The window for the playoffs this year is closing rapidly.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) - Like the Broncos against Houston, a win is a win, no matter how ugly. Cutting it that close against the Raiders is something to worry about, but it’s not something that Jacksonville will care about if they’re in the playoffs.

You’re Saying There’s a Chance?

20. Baltimore Ravens (+5) - They’re back! Kam said on the Fan Feed Pod just before kickoff: “I think Lamar [Jackson] is going to have five touchdowns in his return.” He didn’t have five, but he had four, and the defense magically started playing well with their MVP back on the opposite side of the ball. The AFC North battle is far from over.

21. Dallas Cowboys (-) - The title for best offense in football is up for grabs after the disastrous showing from Dallas on Monday Night Football. For the few that actually got to watch the game (*ahem* YouTube v ESPN), you saw a tired Cowboys team, ready for the bye week.

22. Cleveland Browns (+1) - The Browns square off against a hapless, yet scrappy, New York Jets team in Week 10. While the defense should be able to handle Justin Fields, this is far from a guaranteed victory.

Maybe Next Year

23. Arizona Cardinals (+4) - Something else I mentioned last week was that Arizona would use the bye to figure out how to use WR Marvin Harrison Jr. MHJ had 96 yards and a touchdown on the night. This team is better off with Jacoby Brissett at QB.

24. Cincinnati Bengals (-2) - The story of the 2024 Bengals was the pitiful defense. 2025 is no different: despite the offense putting up 42 points on the Bears, the defense once again faltered, allowing 47. Oh, and they just traded LB Logan Wilson to Dallas for a 7th-round pick.

25. Atlanta Falcons (+1) - One of the few teams to rise despite a loss (and failures of other teams around them) is the Atlanta Falcons. They were a missed PAT away from tying one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. This loss stings.

26. Washington Commanders (-8) - The loss of Jayden Daniels for an indefinite amount of time is much more concerning than the shellacking that Seattle handed them. This season is all but over, and Commanders fans should be looking towards the top end of the 2026 NFL Draft for hope.

27. New York Giants (-1) - Losses continue to pile up, but not due to Jaxson Dart’s play. The offense still put up 24 points despite the season-ending injuries of Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. This will be one of the most fun teams to watch next season.

28. Las Vegas Raiders (+1) - Another team that rises despite losing is the Las Vegas Raiders. They are terrible, but I do believe they’d beat the Dolphins, Jets, Saints, and Titans today. Is TNF this week a trap game for Denver?

29. Miami Dolphins (-1) - They are back where we thought they would be: looking confused and playing uninspiring football in primetime. Jaelan Phillips got shipped off to the Eagles for a 3rd-round pick, so the rebuild is officially here.

30. New York Jets (-) - The Jets play the Browns in Week 10, in what is likely going to be a gross game. Will they have all of their playmakers on offense for this game? Will Garrett Wilson or Breece Hall get traded before today’s trade deadline?

31. New Orleans Saints (-) - The loss to the Rams shows just how far this team is from competing with a complete team in the NFC. We will all see how Shough performs down the stretch, but New Orleans may also be eying a different QB come draft time.

32. Tennessee Titans (-) -  Another loss in the books, and one week closer to the 2026 NFL Draft. Tennessee should be a big-time seller before the trade deadline. It’s time to rebuild this franchise. They have already traded Dremont Jones to the Baltimore Ravens.
