2025 NFL Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: Week 10

By Alex Percey

Start 'Em

  1. Jared Goff (QB - DET) vs Washington Commanders
This week is an odd one for fantasy quarterbacks. The three teams that allow the most points to opposing quarterbacks — the Cowboys, Bengals, and Jaguars — are ALL on bye. It’s harder to find guys to start, but a clear one is Goff against the fourth-worst fantasy defense against QBs, Washington.

  2. Baker Mayfield (QB - TB) vs New England Patriots
This game ought to be a shootout. Coming back from a bye week healthier, the Bucs offense will be firing on all cylinders against a good, but not great, Patriots defense. There’s great value here for Mayfield, who should right his course after a couple of mediocre weeks. It also looks like Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin will both return this week, giving Baker another boost.

  3. Caleb Williams (QB - CHI) vs New York Giants
I’m not huge on Williams in fantasy, having him just outside my top 10 rest-of-season quarterbacks, but this week is a no-brainer. He plays against a poor Giants defense that couldn’t stop Mac Jones last weekend, and he comes in with momentum from a huge win against the Bengals.

  4. Justin Herbert (QB - LAC) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Chargers have been a confusing team to watch this year, and Herbert has been a perplexing fantasy option. He had some weaker performances in the first few weeks, but has bounced back big time in the last three, putting up QB2, QB3, and QB4 performances. This week, he plays Pittsburgh, which is a below-average fantasy defense. Herbert should go crazy this week.

  5. Jacoby Brissett (QB - ARI) vs Seattle Seahawks
In his games starting for the Cardinals, Brissett has put up 25, 25, and 28 fantasy points. He has turned this passing offense around and ignited Marvin Harrison Jr. He should be considered a weekly starter until he proves us otherwise.

Sit 'Em

  1. Trevor Lawrence (QB - JAX) vs Houston Texans
I see some people in my leagues still starting Lawrence, and I ask myself why. He hasn’t been efficient this year at all, and I don’t think that Jakobi Meyers is going to change that fact. He also plays the best defense against quarterbacks, Houston. Stay away.

  2. Sam Darnold (QB - SEA) vs Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals' defense has been stout in their last few appearances, shutting down Dak Prescott and Jordan Love, two of the better-performing quarterbacks in 2025. This week, coming off an incredible performance, Darnold squares off against them. While he has been great, I’d be cautious this week due to the matchup difficulty.

  3. Daniel Jones (QB - IND) vs Atlanta Falcons
Even a rushing touchdown couldn’t save Daniel Jones’ fantasy performance last week, and he threw three interceptions against the Steelers. The Falcons have been great against QBs all year, and I don’t trust Jones not to put up another dud.

  4. Brock Purdy (QB - SF) vs Los Angeles Rams
Purdy is finally coming back from injury this week, or so the reports say. If he does, he’ll have a tough first matchup back against a very talented Rams defense. I don’t see him having a great return to the starting role.

  5. Justin Fields (QB - NYJ) vs Cleveland Browns
“But he’s projected 20 points on sleeper!” “But they just got AD Mitchell!” “But they won his last start!” Don’t fall for it. Fields is not a good quarterback, while the Browns ARE a good defense. He’s going to have multiple turnovers in this game.

Start 'Em

  1. Rico Dowdle (RB - CAR) vs New Orleans Saints
Dowdle has officially taken over the Panthers' backfield, earning 25 carries last week against the Green Bay Packers, even with Chuba Hubbard back in the lineup. In games where Dowdle rushes the ball at least 23 times, he is averaging 29.9 points in those outings. This week, he faces an uninspiring Saints defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs in 2025.

  2. Quinshon Judkins (RB - CLE) vs New York Jets
Judkins is currently dealing with a shoulder injury, but the bye week should have been enough time off for it to heal. If Judkins is ready to go in Week 10, he is going to deliver, as the Jets just traded Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner on Tuesday. New York was already allowing 21.4 fantasy points per game to running backs.

  3. J.K. Dobbins (RB - DEN) vs Las Vegas Raiders
Dobbins has not scored a touchdown in four straight games, but should continue to see a steady workload against an underwhelming Raiders defense. In a game that the Broncos should have a comfortable lead, expect Dobbins to earn multiple carries, specifically at the goal line.

  4. Kyle Monangai (RB - CHI) vs New York Giants
Based on Ben Johnson's presser last week, it seems D'Andre Swift could miss multiple weeks with a groin injury. Last week in Swift's absence, Monangai totaled 176 rushing yards on 26 carries and three receptions for 22 yards. If the rookie running back is the workhorse against the Giants, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season, Monangai is going to be an RB1 in Week 10.

  5. David Montgomery (RB - DET) vs Washington Commanders
Injuries have ravaged the Commanders' defense in recent weeks, and the Lions should take a commanding lead early. That is the perfect game script for Montgomery, who is leaned on to chew the clock in advantageous situations. Washington is allowing 17.9 fantasy points per game to running backs.

Sit 'Em

  1. Breece Hall (RB - NYJ) vs Cleveland Browns
Despite having a fire sale, the Jets retained Hall, who made it clear he wanted out of New York. Nonetheless, the Jets kept him around, but you should keep him out of your lineups this week. The Browns have allowed the second-fewest points to running backs this season.

  2. Ashton Jeanty (RB - LV) vs Denver Broncos
Jeanty's rushing output last week against the Jaguars was underwhelming, as he totaled 42 yards on 13 carries. The rookie running back saved his day with five receptions for 47 yards and one touchdown. However, the Broncos are not going to allow that. Jeanty could finish as a low-end RB2 in Week 10.

  3. Alvin Kamara (RB - NO) vs Carolina Panthers
It may be time to shut the door on Kamara in 2025. In Week 9, the 30-year-old running back ran for 14 yards on six carries and caught one pass for three yards. Carolina has an underrated run defense, and the Saints' offense is broken with Tyler Shough behind center.

  4. Kimani Vidal (RB - LAC) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Vidal was one of the biggest disappointments last week in what should have been an auto-start against the Tennessee Titans. Instead, the second-year running back totaled 30 yards on 12 carries. This week, Vidal faces a Steelers defense that shut Jonathan Taylor down, limiting the 26-year-old running back to 45 yards on 14 rush attempts. Vidal needs to take a backseat on the bench in Week 10.

  5. Travis Etienne Jr. (RB - JAC) vs Houston Texans
Etienne Jr. produced a modest 84 yards on 22 carries last week against the Raiders, but that should not be the expectation against the Texans. Houston is allowing the 13th-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. The former Clemson running back will most likely need a touchdown to save his fantasy day in Week 10.

Start 'Em

  1. Rome Odunze (WR - CHI) vs New York Giants
Odunze was held without a catch, despite the Bears scoring 47 points against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. This week, the second-year receiver is a prime bounce-back candidate, as he goes up against a Giants' secondary, allowing 23.3 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position this season.

  2. Ladd McConkey (WR - LAC) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
McConkey was solid last week in a plus matchup against the Tennessee Titans, catching four passes for 56 yards. The Steelers' defense is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Additionally, Pittsburgh's secondary is one of the worst units in man coverage, which McConkey will exploit with his route-running ability.

  3. Romeo Doubs (WR - GB) vs Philadelphia Eagles
With Tucker Kraft out for the season, Doubs is likely to see his role grow exponentially. Not to mention, Matthew Golden is nursing a shoulder injury. Competition for targets will be a breeze with Christian Watson potentially the only other notable pass catcher available on Sunday night against the Eagles.

  4. Parker Washington (WR - JAC) vs Houston Texans
Washington was the Jaguars' top target against the Raiders, securing eight receptions for 90 yards. With Brian Thomas Jr. dealing with a high-ankle sprain, Washington's role will continue to grow. Start the veteran wideout, even though I'm a tough matchup against the Texans.

  5. Courtland Sutton (WR - DEN) vs Las Vegas Raiders
Sutton caught one pass last week, but it was a 30-yard touchdown. Obviously, that would be disappointing if he replicated that type of production this week. However, the Raiders are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

Sit 'Em

  1. Deebo Samuel (WR - WSH) vs Detroit Lions
Even with Terry McLaurin out, Samuel cannot be trusted moving forward. Jayden Daniels is out for the season, and the 29-year-old receiver is simply not the player he used to be.

  2. Garrett Wilson (WR - NYJ) vs Cleveland Browns
Wilson is coming off a knee injury, and his first game back is against a quality Browns defense. Cleveland's secondary is nothing worth writing home about, but Myles Garrett can wreck the game by himself.

  3. Zay Flowers (WR - BAL) vs Minnesota Vikings
Flowers paced the Ravens' receiver corps with five receptions for 64 yards last week. Minnesota's defense is allowing the ninth-fewest points to wide receivers this season.

  4. Chris Olave (WR - NO) vs Carolina Panthers
Olave saw a season-low in targets last week in Tyler Shough's first career start. Rashid Shaheed being dealt to Seattle should open up more opportunities, but you don't want any part of this offense. The Panthers are also giving up the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2025.

  5. Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR - ARI) vs Seattle Seahawks
Harrison Jr. is coming off a career day against the Cowboys, catching seven passes for 96 yards and one touchdown. Jacoby Brisset was named the starter for at least the next few weeks, raising the second-year receiver's floor, but the Seahawks are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

Start 'Em

  1. Oronde Gadeson II (TE - LAC) vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Gadsden hasn’t dropped a pass in two weeks, catching all 10 of his targets through Weeks 8 and 9. He’s been below 60 yards since week 5. Pittsburgh has also been terrible against TEs, allowing the 2nd-most points on average (11.50 per game).

  2. Harold Fannin Jr. (TE - CLE) vs New York Jets
Fannin gets one of the worst NFL defenses in the league right now. While the Jets are middle of the pack with TEs, Fannin has been so reliable of late. With a target share of 8, 5, and 10, he’s been getting consistent work. Fannin will look to get him his second touchdown in consecutive weeks.

  3. Dalton Kincaid (TE - BUF) vs Miami Dolphins
I absolutely LOVE this matchup for Kincaid. Coming off a game where he tore up the Chiefs' defense, he gets another juicy matchup. The Dolphins' defense allowed Mark Andrews to score two touchdowns last week and is ranked 28th against TEs.

  4. Colston Loveland (TE - CHI) vs New York Giants
I know this might be crazy after one big performance, but sometimes that’s all it takes. The more important aspect is that Cole Kmet is possibly on concussion protocol, giving Loveland a fantastic opportunity to ball out again. His targets have been ticking upward, and even without the big touchdown at the end of the game in Week 9, he would have still had a great day. Start him with confidence of a solid floor with a nice upside if Kmet is out.

  5. Kyle Pitts Sr. (TE - ATL) vs Indianapolis Colts
I know Pitts had an underwhelming game last week, but he should bounce back strongly against a Colts team that allows 74 yards per game to TEs.

Sit 'Em

  1. Mark Andrews (TE - BAL) vs Minnesota Vikings
Since the bye week, Andrews hasn’t been targeted more than 3 times in each game. Last week, he was saved by two touchdowns within the 10-yard line. He’s not getting enough volume to make him startable, and he's in danger of busting this week. Look for more reliable options.

  2. Zach Ertz (TE - WSH) vs Detroit Lions
Ertz has come back to earth, not scoring double-digit fantasy points since Week 7. The Lions are only allowing an average of 7 fantasy points. Oh, and Jayden Daniels is out indefinitely.

  3. Theo Johnson (TE - NYG) vs Chicago Bears
I will die on the hill that Theo Johnson can’t produce without scoring touchdowns. In 4 of the past 5 weeks, he’s caught less than 50% of his targets. He’s not efficient enough to have a fantasy-relevant game.

  4. Jonnu Smith (TE - PIT) vs Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are only allowing 36 yards on average to tight ends. Smith is in a TE carousel that isn’t readable enough to be startable, and his volume isn’t sustainable.

  5. Juwan Johnson (TE - NO) vs Carolina Panthers
Juwan Johnson’s volume with or without a quarterback issue is not sustainable. He had only four targets in Week 9, and even with Rashid Shaheed being traded away, his QB situation is concerning.

By Dominic Orrico

Start 'Em

  1. Panthers D/ST vs New Orleans Saints
The Saints' offense is abysmal with them shipping away their WR2 in the trade deadline. The Panthers have been a pretty solid defensive core, but against Tyler Shough, there’s an opportunity to crush this week.

  2. Browns D/ST vs New York Jets
Ranked 8th in the league, the Browns have a fantastic matchup against the Jets. New York is only scoring 21 points and is averaging 184 passing yards per game.

Sit 'Em

  1. Steelers D/ST vs Los Angeles Chargers
Despite putting up 16 points last week against the Colts, it’ll be tough to repeat against the Chargers. They’re averaging 320 yards per game, and Justin Herbert has been phenomenal lately.

  2. Buccaneers D/ST vs New England Patriots
This is purely optical, but Drake Maye has been on fire lately, and the Buccaneers defense, despite being ranked top 10 in fantasy, is susceptible to high-scoring games.
