Colts versus Falcons Ends in an Overtime Win led by Jonathan Taylor

The Indianapolis Colts took on the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin, winning 31-25 in overtime. This now bumps up the Colts’ record to 8-2 heading into week 11 of the season.

Records were set, and expectations were met during the game. Jonathan Taylor made franchise history by completing an 83-yard rushing touchdown, which is also the longest so far in this NFL season. On top of that, he added three touchdowns, marking his 65th career score.

As for quarterback Daniel Jones, he showed what lengths he is willing to go for a Colts win. On a fourth-quarter drive, Jones scrambled for 19 yards before falling out of bounds, crashing into a bench on the Falcons’ side, and continuing to play with a bloody mouth. That was no stop for him, and he went on to complete a clutch pass to tight end Tyler Warren to keep the drive alive, setting up Michael Badgley with a 44-yard field goal to tie the game at 25 and send it to overtime.

In addition to that, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. added receptions for 78 yards, while Zaire Franklin, Kenny Moore II, and the rest of the Colts defense worked hard to keep the Falcons’ rushing attack to 84 yards.

The Falcons tested the Colts this week, with Desmond Ridder throwing for 236 yards and two touchdowns, and Drake London hauling in seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. Despite their efforts, they were unable to stop the Colts’ stampede.

Heading into week 11, still at the top of the AFC, the Indianapolis Colts make the long trip back to Lucas Oil Stadium, where they will take the week off in their bye week. They will return in week 12 and travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs.
